The shops that carry BeeLine are near and dear to my heart. I chose them to represent the line because I respect and find inspiration in each shop’s style. For this week’s Buzz, I thought I would share some of the happenings at a few of these shops:

•Hollyhock, West Hollywood, CA: A beautiful new website was recently launched – with its easy navigation, printable tearsheets, press section and fun event photos – the site clearly shows my friend, owner, Suzanne Rheinstein’s vision.

• Great Jones Home, Seattle, WA: One of owner Carrie Hayden’s interior design projects has been selected for the November issue of Traditional Home magazine. Congratulations!

• Mrs. Howard, Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Jacksonville, FL: Mrs. Howard has planned 3 nights of “Tabletop Extravaganza” – September 29th through October 3rd, featuring product from William Yeoward, Dransfield & Ross, and Marc Blackwell.

• Boxwood Home & Interiors, New Canaan, CT: BeeLine Home has a new home in CT! Owners Petra and Whitney Roberts open Boxwood Home & Interiors next week.

• Speaking of new shops, BeeLine is now at Lars Bolander in West Palm Beach, FL and Christian Michi in Charleston, SC.

• And, BeeLine has ventured into Canada! Celadon Collection now represents us in Montreal.

A great recipe for weekend entertaining:

Cheese Grits Soufflé
Serves 8 to 10

2.25 cups milk
2.25 cups water
1 cup old fashioned grits
1 pound coarsely grated sharp cheddar cheese
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
5 eggs, room temperature and separated
Dash of paprika

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a non-stick saucepan, bring milk and water to a boil. Slowly stir in grits. Reduce heat to low and cover pan. Cook grits 12 to 14 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove pan from heat and stir in cheese until thoroughly incorporated. Season with salt and pepper and set aside to cool.

Mix egg yolks together in a medium bowl. Stir into cooled grit mixture. Beat the egg whites in a bowl with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. (Do not overbeat.) Add paprika. Gently fold egg whites into grits mixture.

Spoon mixture into a 9 – by 14 – by 2-inch ovenproof dish. Bake in the oven for 1 to 1.5 hours or until the top is lightly browned and crisp on the edges. Serve immediately.
